The IS-Group supplies high performance wiring, interconnect and fastener products for use in a range of technically demanding applications in industries including Defence & Aerospace, Motorsport, Energy and General Industrial. The IS-Group also supplies a range of its own manufactured products, including flexible braided products and multi-core cables.
The IS-Group has well-established operations in the UK and Germany. The successful candidate would be required to work closely with the relevant Divisional Managing Directors to identify and implement sales strategies within these regions, whilst also identifying the broader product potential across EMEA.
The IS-Group is looking to add additional complimentary products to its existing product portfolio. The new products are primarily from its leading franchised partner.
Reporting directly to the IS-Group Managing Director, the ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and delivering growth from these new product ranges which are - High performance Connectors, Filters and Relays.
Responsibilities include:
- Revenue and profit generation: Working with the divisional personnel to ensure the success of the new product lines. Produce regular monthly analysis showing revenues and profit.
- Market and product research: Identify the sales potential within different geographic regions and complete a full analysis of the market and product potential. Present business plans for the development of each product line.
- Competitor analysis: Create competitor cross reference lists, watch and track competition trends, assist in driving competitor displacement.
- Price positioning: Evaluate market prices and establish and maintain a competitive European price list. Assist in evaluating competitive quotations. Drive cost improvements to maintain competitive position and to increase margin potential.
- Product launch and training: Develop training materials, create new product briefs and kick off packages, develop sample kits, organise training sessions for relevant divisional personnel, share project success stories.
- Marketing: Design and produce the relevant promotional materials, including technical data sheets and catalogues. Ensure the products are represented on the relevant divisional web sites. Research the potential for on-line trading of new products and present any proposals for development of existing web sites.
- Stock profile: Recommend stock profile and moqs. Manage stocking levels within agreed budgets.
- Supplier liaison: Primary point of contact for the new product lines including price negotiation and contracts.
- Technical support: Ensure appropriate technical support is available within the divisions. Assist with recruitment, training and development of supporting technical personnel.
Knowledge and Skills required:
- Degree qualified in Electronics or similar supported by an MBA or Marketing qualification.
- Languages would be beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and presentation skills.
- Strong IT skills and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Technical background.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in a product development, marketing role and have strong commercial acumen together with a track record of managing projects and taking new products to market, with a hands on approach where required.
- Domestic and international business travel (mainly EMEA) will be required.
